Board Room (The Bateman Room)

This room was the room where the committee meetings take place. Here are displayed many of the smaller clocks used for domestic timekeeping. Particular items of interest include the Congrave Clock with its perpetually rolling ball, and a Thompion Coach Watch, made by the "Father of English Clockmaking". Here also can be seen examples of early Bulle battery electric clocks, a number of Mystery Clocks, and the Wooden Clock movements popular in the USA following the American Civil war, when traditional raw materials were very scarce.
