Notes:

Published by Journal suisse d'horogerie, this small publication reports on the the '99me session annuelle de la Societe helvetique des sciences naturelles, Section de Geophysique, Meteorologie et Astronomie.'

The author reports on the recent developments in radio transmission of time signals and a brief summary of international time determination.  A recommendation is made from the Societe Helvetique to adopt the 24 hour system of timekeeping rather than the double 12 hour.  The final page gives details of the adoption of the 24 hour system by the Conseil federal from 1st May, 1919, after which time all transport timetables and telegraphic communication must adopt this means of timekeeping.
