Historic auction catalogue with name of "Charles Forrest. Private!!!" written in ink on cover and also label of Malcolm Gardner beneath . Presumably, Gardner supplied Ilbert with this catalogue. Among the 1370 lots are over 80 of horological interest. Ilbert has attached a list of these lots on a separate paper attached by pin to inside of cover. Against each lot, Ilbert has added in pencil the prices realised although where these came from is unclear. Also, many lots have initials beside them written in ink in a style indicating they date from the time of the sale and probably indicate the initials of purchasers. Nearly all the clocks are Louis IV - XVIII. Highlights in the sale include a gold watch for the blind by Breguet, a regulator by Lepante A Paris, a 25 tune musical clock by Barwise, a clock my Mudge.
