Sale with a number of horological lots. The most interesting of these as follows; Lot 72. A Rare Late 18th Century Swiss Singing Bird Clock in the form of a gilt metal bird cage. Made probably by Jaquet-Droz & Leschot of La Chaux-de-Fonds. Lot 73. "The Property of Mrs M. Leader". A Universal Equatorial Compass Sundial (illustrated) by John Rowley, Master of Mechanicks to the King, c.1719. Incorporated into the design the cypher, coronet, crest and supporters of James Brydges, Earl od Carnarvon (later 1st Duke of Chandos). A postcard attached to the front of the catalogue reveals that Ilbert left a bid on this lot but was unsuccessful. "Lot 73.
