Notes:
An article on the famous musical chamber clock by Nicholas Vallin, subsequently acquired by Ilbert and now in the British Museum. The author relates how he acquired the clock in a rusty and derelict condition and had it restored. The clock movement is described. The hands on the clock as illustrated are 17th century longcase hands and not the hands now on the clock which were presumably made by Ilbert. The clock was exhibited at the recent (1933?) Elizabethan Exhibition and was televised by the B.B.C. The 2 photographs as follow: 1. Full front view of the clock, dial and hands 2. Right hand side view of the movement
