Notes:
The letter written in ink is dated Feb. 6th with a later pencilled addition "circa 1920". The correspondent writes from 100 Aldersgate Street, E.C. The content of the letter is a commentary on an article in the Horological Journal by James U. Poole which itself discusses the merits or otherwise of the "ordinary cylindrical spring" for pocket chronometers as opposed to Walsh's duo-in-uno spring.
