A handwritten document in ink in an unknown hand with a reference to; "Set the Watches by Mr Graham's Regulator". This is possibly the earliest use of the word "Regulator". The document is a minute by minute instruction on the observations to be made during the eclipse There are some pencil notes dated 19th November, 1876, possibly made during another eclipse. Included is a drawing contemporary with the document and letters dated 1997 from Jonathan Betts (NMM), Derek Howse and Dr Frances Willmoth (Dept. of Manuscripts, University Library, Cambridge) speculating on the authorship of the document
