Notes:
Relates to; "An Improvement in the Manufacture of Escapaments for Chronometers, Clocks, and Watches". There are 13 drawings within the two fold out pages. The patent describes an escapement axis with a complete revolution for each impulse or, modified, two impulses for one revolution of the escapement axis. The purpose is to reduce the number of teeth normally used in an escape wheel so that it can be manufactured by persons of much less skill than is required for normal escapements. Malcolm Gardner, Horological Bookseller sticker on cover and first page.
