This appears to be an old photograph of the name plate from a Tompion and Banger (longcase?) clock It is contained within a blue envelope on which is written in ink the following; "Pedigree? Of old Clock in "107" Dining room. Probable date Take care of - whoever you are" Also written in pencil on rear of envelope, "MADDEN"

An invoice on headed paper to Mr Gardner from A.C.Cossor of 29, Gloucester Street, Clerkenwell, E.C., relating to three purchases amounting to one pound, ten shillings and ten pence. The first purchase for five shillings and fourpence is for a "Pair of Small Bent Horns" and a pencil mark against this states, "for balances", presumably a reference to chronometer balances with mercurial auxilliary compensation.
