Reveals more about her exhibitionist and pugnatious tendancies than it does about the Farouk treasures. Horological photographs as follows; 1. Mrs Henry with a highly decorative 18th century clock. (Appears to be more a watch within an elaborate cabinet of miniature drawers flanked by bloodstone pillars).

A collection of advertisements of antique clocks and watches for sale taken from such magazines as Apollo, Antique Collector, Connoisseur and the American journal, Antiques. Many early longcase clocks included by top makers, Tompion and Knibb included, and some unusual French clocks. Some very early watches also others more decorative and unusual. Three short artcles taken from the ILN as follows; 1. "Superb Gold Watch Presented to Lord Dudley Coutts Stuart, by the Poles." A description and illustration of this watch made by Patek & Co. and presented to Lord Dudley by emigree Poles "as a token of gratitude for the services rendered by his Lordship to the cause of their country." The watch is a repeating keyless pocket chronometer. The dial features the Coat of Arms of Poland and the numerals are replaced with symbols of the provinces of Poland. 2. In "Early Illustrations of Clock Escapements", the author describes pages from "Technica Curiosa", by P. Gasparis Schotti, published in 1644, (corrected in pencil by Ilbert to 1664?). Author relates how he acquired his copy of the book from a tip off from Commander Gould. 8 types of early escapement with pendulums are illustrated and described, all of them before the invention of the recoil (anchor) escapement was invented.. 2 combine verge escapements with pendulums and 2 are Gallileo types.
