An offprint from the Autumn Number of "Countryside Quarterly", giving a brief history of clocks and watches. Written as a puff, both by and for the firm of Messrs. R.G.A.Wells (Horologist) Ltd. of Market Street, Guildford, and 56, Beauchamp Place, Knightsbridge. Much is made of the high quality work undertaken by the firm and the fact they will not entertain "trash" (horological that is).
Illustrations as follows;
1. General view of showroom in Guildford, with several longcase and carriage clocks.
2. One corner of the showrooms with more longcase, lantern, mantel and sunburst clocks
