Price 3d Patent relates to the following (original spelling); "An Art of Working Pretious or more Comon Stones (whether Naturall or Artificial), Christal, or Glass, and certain other Matters different from Metals, so that they may be employed and made vse of in Clockwork or Watchwork and many other Engins, not for Ornament only, but as an Internal and Vsefull Part of the Work or Engine itselfe, in such Manners as have not heretofore been vsed, and that the said Art will be very beneficial to the Trade of Making Watches and Clocks".
