Full description and illustration (6 engravings) of a  form of zinc and iron compensation pendulum, for which the author received the Silver Medal of the Society for the year 1808.

Ward claims the advantage of his pendulum lies in the simplicity of its design and manufacture.

Final pages are a record with charts of the performance of the clock "...determined from observations of the Sun's Transit over the Meridian."
