"The smaller of Vulcal Silver Medal was this Session voted to Mr. C. Brandt, of Jermyn-street, London, for an Adjusting Crutch For Clocks."

Communication to the Society in the form of a letter, plus an engraving illustrating his invention, from the Author, of 62, Jermyn-street, St James's, dated Feb. 8, 1821.

An invention designed to overcome the somewhat clumsy method of putting clocks in beat, (by bending the crutch), with a more sophisticated adjustable screw and spring arrangement.
