Welcome to the
Horological Movement Identification Photo Database

Edited by Zanna Perry

This database contains photos of modern and antique clock and watch movements. The purpose of the database is for horologists world-wide to be able to access the database to search and display photos of movements that may be causing them trouble. It is anticipated that the main use will be to see the configuration of chime strike levers etc. and research.
For best results use a screen resolution of 800x600 or higher

Please Note that as digital photography gets better you will start to take clearer pictures than those shown here. Please submit them to the database as I will replace the older pictures with clearer ones whenever they become available.

Photos: The photos should be in JPEG format, no wider than 640 pixels, no larger than 35KB and if you are using PhotoShop etc, it should have the thumbnail feature turned off.

Copyright

The copyright of the photos remains with the person who submitted them (unless the photo is marked as public domain) and their details will be shown with the photo. The data and graphics published on the database is for research use only. Any use of these photos for use in any other publication is expressly forbidden without the permission of the person who submitted the photograph.and the editor of the database
